Why I think EA is full of crap (Sims 3 Deformed Pets)
Well, I always think they’re full of crap for the most part.
In particular though, I wanted to address the deformed pets problem with their Pets EP. It’s frustrating because if unless you’re okay with demonized looking pets, it’s impossible to play.
So, when TS3Pets was first released, we waiting MONTHS to hear a statement from ANYONE at EA about this problem. No one knew if it was our computers, or the game, or bad CC or what. Their customer service reps promised people who called a patch within a few weeks for the problem, while others told people they had no idea what the problem was to begin with. Obviously their reps had no idea what the hell they were talking about.
So we held onto the hope of a patch. Patches came and went, yet the pets were not fixed. No big official statement was ever made by EA despite the number of people who had the problem. All we got was a few people from EA tweeting about how it was not the game, and we would have to go out and buy a new graphics card. That they could not fix the problem.
Well, I call bullshit.

How on earth, could there be an unofficial fix that works (but unfortunately has it’s one downfall, but it’s unofficial so it’s to be expected.) but EA can’t patch it themselves? How does that make any sense at all? I thought it was our graphics cards? Well if that’s the case then there wouldn’t be anything anyone could do to fix it other then getting a new GC, And yet the have. ‘Splain that one EA.
I have come to the conclusion that we’re seeing a combination of lazy and covering their asses here. I know some of you aren’t going to agree on this because you’re one of the lucky few that doesn’t often have problems with TS3 or your an EA Nazi (c’mon, be honest. I know you’re out there) but for the most part every EP has come with more and more glitches then the last. Patches that make more problems, and just over all poor maintenance and customer service. I think a lot of us can agree that these EP’s are rushed and that’s how we end up getting a buggy glitchy mess.
Anyways, I think it’s extremely shitty that there WAS a way to fix this, and it was never done. So if you’ve unfortunately been a victim of this glitch, you have 3 choices. Live with it, Buy a new card, or get the unofficial fix and get a one way ticket to lag city due to the logo that the fix also installs on the game screen.
For those of you who don’t have demon pets, but have pets that look like the dog on the left
You have the no fluff problem. Your pets should look like the dog on the right. This is actually easily fixed.
This problem was patched, if your game is up to date and you still have pets like the dog on the left, turn on “Advanced Rendering” in the Graphics options. That fixes it more times then not.
Sometimes I wish I could trade places with my friends so I can solve their problems for them.

I don’t have a lot of friends, and I don’t see them very often, but it always sucks to hear when they’re going through shit. Like, I don’t understand why they take some of the stuff they do, and I always wish I could fix it for them. ‘Course, I can’t. The most I can do is offer advice and someone to talk to.
I don’t like hearing about my friends fighting with their parents or being controlled by people who have no right to tell them what to do. It’s like watching a train wreck and just having to sit by and watch.
I think it’s safe to say I care way too much and am way too emotional (lol) but- I really do love my friends no matter what they do or how annoying they are sometimes.
Facebook Parenting: For the troubled teen.
Oh my god, yes. This video is beyond brilliant.
Here’s just a run down of what’s going on in the video;
Basically this Gentleman’s daughter, Hannah, has taken it upon herself to go on her facebook and write a lengthy status about how she’s sick and tired of the chores she has to do, how her life is so exhausting, and how when her parents get old and need her help, she wont be there. Now, she didn’t think her dad would see it because she blocked him from seeing said status. Well.. she was wrong, and he’s pissed. He gives her his thoughts on her status, then proceeds to put 8(?) bullets into her laptop. For the final touch, he posted it on her facebook wall.
Fucking. Boss.
For those of you who are going to sit there and say this video was harsh, I assume you’re not a parent. If not, probably a teen as well as Hannah. Now, obviously I disagree completely. Why? Well lets get into it.
- Shooting her laptop!? That was going way too far!
Was it? He payed for it. According to him he had also just spent countless hours and $130 upgrading it for her. Granted, I personally would have just sold it, but I digress. He payed for it, he worked on it, it was a privilege not a right. What happens when you outright disrespect your parents after they’ve given you such a privilege? It get’s taken away, and he has the right to do whatever the hell he wants with it.
- Posting the video on her Facebook wall? That’s beyond embarrassing and wasn’t necessary!
Embarrassing? Hell yeah it is, but what do you think posting that huge rant on Facebook about her parents must have done to them? She went off about them as though they were slave drivers because she has chores like every other teenager on this planet, and insulted them on top of that. That’s not embarrassing? He only did to her what she did to them. If she can’t play hardball, she should get off the field.
- I know here she’s coming from, they make her do way too much!
What? Get out of my interwebz. The fact that kids get whatever they want (laptops, phones, mp3 players, clothes, video games ect) then bitch and moan about how their parents make them do their own laundry, sweep the house, and make their beds is MIND BLOWING. These are basic LIFE SKILLS that you’re going to have to do FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. You think after you get older your laundry, dishes, and beds are you to clean themselves? I don’t understand this logic.

Now you’re just mad cause you know there’s no defending what his daughter did, and that she damn well deserved it, and you probably act the same way she does.
In conclusion, this guy is freaking genius. I wish I could have seen the look on his daughters face when she found her laptop AND when her friends tell her at school about the video. If she didn’t want her shit taken away, she should have just shut her mouth and be grateful that she had a laptop to bitch on in the first place.
Holy Awkward
Being put in the middle, is quite a predicament isn’t it? Especially when you’re in the middle of two people you love and would prefer not to hurt either.
So like, you’ve been tricked into sticking your nose where it didn’t belong already and you’ve said too much. What in the hell do you do? BAHH!
